SUMMARY:Cumberland Show
DESCRIPTION:NEW BEGINNINGS FOR THE CUMBERLAND SHOW!\nThe Cumberland Agricultural Society are delighted to announce the return of the Cumberland Show after having to cancel for two years running. \nWe are also excited to reveal that the Show is moving to a brand new home for 2022. On Saturday 11 June 2022 it will be held at The Showfield\, Warwick on Eden\, Carlisle; farmland central to Warwick on Eden and minutes from the M6. \nAfter another quiet year on the events front\, the Society are keen to ensure that the 2022 Show kick starts the much-anticipated return of the County’s hugely popular Agricultural Show calendar. \nThe design of the Showfield is still a work in progress and the Show Committee are eager and excited to be working on its development with our new landlords. \nThe new site will enable the Show\, which has been missed by all our supporters\, to return with a new lease of life and accommodate all the much-loved attractions\, competitions and entertainment. \nShow Chairman\, Michael Nicholson comments that: “Whilst Messrs E I Coulthard have been wonderful landlords for the previous three Shows and we can’t thank them enough for all their help and support over the period\, with the development of the Carlisle Southern Bypass it is not possible to continue holding the Show at East Park. The new site promises to be an excellent venue and we have a blank canvas to work with to bring our Show back with a bang\, and we very much look forward to welcoming you all”. \nTHE SOCIETY TEAM \nThe Society is run by a Committee of elected members from a wide spectrum of people involved in agriculture and related businesses around Carlisle. \nChairman: Mr Michael Nicholson \nVice Chair: Ms Linda Dodd & Mr Matthew Bowker \nPresident: Mr & Mrs E Wilson \nTreasurer: Mr Robert Wharton \nShow Secretary: Miss Jill Dunglinson \nTel: 01228 812601    Email: secretary@cumberlandshow.co.uk \nOperations & Development Secretary: Mrs Gillian Potts \nHorse Secretary: Ms Sarah Gemmell \nEmail: horsesecretary@cumberlandshow.co.uk \nHome Industries Secretary: Mrs Megan Armstrong \nTel: 07597 287445   Email: homeindustries@cumberlandshow.co.uk \nHome Industries Chairman: Mrs Liz Peile \nPoultry Secretary: Mr John Barry \nEmail: joan.barry123@btinternet.com \nTrophy Secretary: Mrs Julie Bowker
