Entry forms and catalogues are added to this page in the run-up the sale. \n\nNSA ram sales are recognised throughout the industry as well-respected multi-breed sales offering rams that have all been individually inspected for health and quality before entering the sale ring. There are six sales throughout the year\, including the NSA Wales & Border Main Ram Sale in September\, believed to be the biggest in Europe. Only NSA members can sell at NSA ram sales; visit the NSA Membership page to find out more about the benefits of NSA membership and an application form to join. \nDid you know? \nEvery animal is inspected before sale for testicles\, teeth and general health. This is done by NSA-approved inspectors\, often with support from a vet. \nSheep with performance recording records are available and clearly marked in catalogues. \nAll stock is sold under auctioneers’ conditions of sale with extra support from NSA if needed. \nDifferent breeds and vendors are brought together in one place\, offering sheep reared in every environment in the UK to fit all market specifications. \nSome stock is sold as part of official breed society sales\, with additional catalogue information available. \nMore than 7\,000 head are offered at NSA sales collectively.

SUMMARY:NSA Sheep 2022
DESCRIPTION:NSA looks forward to 2022 NSA Sheep Event\n27th July 2021 \nWith exactly one year until the return of the National Sheep Association (NSA)’s flagship event NSA Sheep 2022\, plans are beginning to take shape to ensure visitors to the popular sheep farming show can look forward to an informative and enjoyable day out. \nWith Covid-19 causing the sad cancellation of the 2020 event\, a year that would have celebrated 40 years of the popular event being held at the Three Counties Showground\, Worcestershire\, NSA Sheep 2022 will provide the first opportunity in four years for visitors to visit the business to business event. \nTaking place on Wednesday 27th July 2022 the show will include a vast array of sheep farming trade stands from commercial companies\, sheep breed societies and industry groups as well as offering attendees the chance to join informative seminars\, workshops and demonstrations throughout the day. Competitions such as the finals of the NSA Next Generation shepherds competition\, fencing and fleece competitions will go ahead with the popular sheepdog sale also returning. \nProviding an opportunity to meet with others socially the evening before the main NSA event\, the NSA Sheep Event dinner will also return next year and is open to both commercial companies and individuals interested in enjoying the evening. \nNSA Chief Executive Phil Stocker comments: “All involved with NSA events and in particular the biennial national NSA Sheep Event were bitterly disappointed to not be able to welcome visitors last year\, and indeed this year also\, as Covid restrictions have meant the cancellation of further events. \n“But as plans for next year begin\, we are excited by the prospect of the opportunity to meet face to face with sheep farmers and industry representatives from across the sector. NSA is confident that its events will return safely and successfully providing the UK’s sheep farmers with the chance to enjoy a worthwhile day out.” \nExhibitors interested in attending NSA Sheep Event will soon be able to confirm their trade stand space as bookings are expected to open very soon. \nFor more information\, please visit www.sheepevent.org.uk

SUMMARY:Devon County Show
DESCRIPTION:The Devon County Agricultural Association is delighted to announce that the 2022 Devon County Show will take place on Thursday 30th June\, Friday 1st and Saturday 2nd July.  The event traditionally runs during the third week of May\, but along with other shows was cancelled in 2020 . \nIn 2021\, the Show was delayed to July and was one of the few three-day agricultural shows to go ahead.  As a Covid Safe outdoor event\, the organisers were delighted at the confidence of the general public and welcomed over 60\,000 visitors across the three days. \nAfter much consultation\, discussion and reviewing of the likely impact of Covid-19 during the winter and spring\, the Council of the DCAA have agreed to schedule the Show at the start of July for a further year to mitigate any further risk posed by the Pandemic.  It is anticipated that the Show will return to its usual May dates in 2023. \nShow Manager\, Sam Mackenzie-Green said: ‘By taking an early decision now rather than next spring we hope this will give our exhibitors and trade stands time to prepare and we look forward to welcoming them to 126th Devon County Show in 2022’.

SUMMARY:Royal Highland Show 2022
DESCRIPTION:One of Scotland’s most loved outdoor agricultural events \n\n\nThe annual Royal Highland Show celebrates the best in farming\, food and rural industry across Scotland. For four days in June\, it offers fun for all ages including opportunities to get up close to farmyard animals\, sample delicious and often locally produced food and drink\, and experience rural living as never before. \nPut on by the Royal Highland and Agricultural Society of Scotland and launched in 1822\, the show initially moved around visiting different towns and regions of the country. In 1960\, it settled in Edinburgh with the Royal Highland Centre in Ingliston becoming a permanent home. 2022 marked the 200th anniversary for the Royal Highland Show and the return to a normal event after a two year hiatus because of Covid. \nAt each event day attendees can expect to see the finest livestock\, witness incredible feats of skill and bravery in the forestry arena\, feel the heat of the hot coals at the farrier displays\, enjoy countryside pursuits\, view spectacular show jumping\, learn about rural crafts and inspect the vast lots of farm machinery across the showground as well as enjoying a line-up of live music and entertainment to captivate the whole family. In addition\, shoppers are always spoiled for choice with a huge selection of country wares on offer\, ranging from pet accessories and jewellery to art and garden furniture. \nIn 2019\, the Royal Highland Show attracted nearly 200\,000 people and boasted more than 5\,000 animals – including 2\,128 sheep\, 2\,200 horses and 1\,101 beef and dairy cattle – competing for over 280 trophies and £170\,000 in prize money. \nDue to the coronavirus pandemic the Royal Highland Show was cancelled in 2020 and 2021\, with a focus instead on bringing together the most-loved parts of the live show to take place behind closed doors at the showground and be livestreamed around the world. \nIn June 2021\, organisers confirmed the Royal Highland Show would return from 23 – 26 June 2022 to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the event’s launch. \nUse postal code EH28 8NB for satellite navigation. Within easy reach of the city centre\, the Royal Highland Centre is located next to Edinburgh International Airport\, which is just minutes from the M8 and M9. The RHC sits off Glasgow Road (A8) between Newbridge roundabout and the A8/airport roundabout. Access to the Royal Highland Centre is from A8/Airport roundabout on to Eastfield Road. From there\, signposts provide directions to the venue along Fairview Road onto Ingliston Road. Parking is available on site for more than 6\,000 cars.
