SUMMARY:Morton in Marsh Show 2023
DESCRIPTION:Moreton Show is one of the biggest one-day agricultural shows\, set in the heart of the Cotswolds and our 2022 show was full to the brim with exciting acts! This year\, we welcomed the return of the Shetland Pony Grand National who thrilled the crowd with their furry legs and colourful jockey colours galloping around the arena. Viewers were amazed at the heights that Squibb Motocross Freestyle reached with their mid-air stunts and of course\, the highlight of the Livestock Grand Parade provided the public the chance to see a vast display of the finest breeds of cattle\, sheep and goats that the country has to offer. \nOne spectacle that caused emotion throughout the showground was the miraculous display of the Lancaster bomber flypast\, with a lot of spectators commentating that it had given them goosebumps as it flew across the skies above them. \nThe children as ever had lots of free activities to keep them entertained from holding the unusual albino snake at the mini zoo to having a go at being an acrobat with circus skills. The animals at Old Farm Dorn Marquee were eager to greet all our visitors and enjoyed getting a few tasty snacks. \nThe Dog Show was fantastically supported and it was lovely to see so many different dogs on the showground. The crowds loved cheering for the scampering legs of the terriers racing across the Attractions arena all eager to catch the mop before it disappeared behind the bales 🙂 \nCongratulations to all the Livestock and Horse exhibitors whose animals were turned out to a fantastic standard. You could see how much effort had go into preparing them for the show. \nThe show would like to express its grateful thanks to the many volunteers who helped across the showground without whose support the show would not be able to run. \nOur 2023 show video will be coming soon……… \nTo get to the Moreton-in-Marsh Show by road: \n\n\n\nThe Moreton-in-Marsh Showground is situated off the A429 north of the town. \nPlease click here to download a PDF guide to get to the show. \nMake the most of your SATNAV:\nTravelling from the South\, West\, Bristol\, Cheltenham\, Evesham or Gloucester? Then use the postcode GL56 9AJ until you see signs directing you to the show. \nTravelling from the North\, East\, Banbury\, Birmingham\, Coventry or Stratford-upon-Avon direction? And to see how well they are cared for and the amount of work that goes into that care is also quite something to behold. \n\n\n\nThe Countryside Area’s Ring features a variety of different demonstrations and displays throughout the day.  From Ferret Racing to Gun Dog Displays and Falconry\, the Countryside Area of the Show is not to be missed. There will be opportunities to meet the demonstrators\, have a go at fly fishing as well as saying hello to ferrets too. \n\n\n\nVisit the NEW Woodland Arena which is a great spot to see traditional craftsmen at work. The craftsmen in this area are happy to talk about their craft and skills.. \n\n\n\nBrecon County Show promotes local produce. You can sample delights from the local and national producers in our Food Hall or a sit down three-course lunch in the food marquee or why not try one of the food stand areas which sells everything from burgers to doughnuts. \nThere really is something for everyone to enjoy\, from award-winning ice cream\, hog roast\, fish & chips\, freshly made pizza\, burgers\, cakes and tea and coffee… \nOutside bar if you like a little tipple or two\, including indoor members\, bar both serving a variety of soft and alcohol drinks.. \n\n\n\nThere are over 200 trade stands situated all over the showground. From farm and plant machinery to crafts\, food and fashion\, you’re sure to find something of interest. \n\n\n\nFor around six thousand years\, sheep shearing and wool production has been an important part of this country’s sheep industry. \nAnd you can see just how it’s done\, at the Brecon County Show. It’s fascinating to watch and features some of the best exponents of the art in the county. Knowledgeable commentators will guide you through what is happening\, as the action unfolds. \n\n\n\nAnimals \nThe Brecon County Show is proud to introduce a family-friendly animal environment for children & adults alike! SUMMARY:NSA Sheep Northern Ireland 2023
DESCRIPTION:NSA Sheep Northern Ireland 2023\nDate: 4th July 2023 \nTime: TBC \nLocation: Tynan Estate\, Co Armagh \nFollowing the disappointing postponement from 2021 due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic NSA Sheep Northern Ireland will next take place on the 4th July 2023 at Tynan Estate\, Co Armagh by kind permission of Kate Kingan and Peter Mant. \nThe 2023 event hopes to follow on from the event in 2019 which saw a number of successful attractions and competitions return as well as useful seminars and workshops providing up to date information on the UK sheep sector as well as hands on practical advice. \nKate and Peter have taken the estate back into farming themselves and have been keen to improve and enhance the farming element of the estate. They have become part of The NI Sheep Programme described below. \n \nNorthern Ireland Sheep Programme: \nThe Northern Ireland Sheep Programme was launched in May 2019 at Balmoral Show. The programme is a joint collaboration between CAFRE\, Dunbia and the Irish Farmers Journal. The aim of the three-year programme is to increase the profitability of participating farmers through technological transfer and the adoption of the latest research advancements and management practices. \nThere are 9 participating farmers and the farms deliver a good geographical spread in sheep strongholds. \nThe farms also reflect the diverse nature of the sheep sector\, with significant variation in flock size\, systems operated\, land type and breed profile. \nThe programme will be very much applicable to farmers in Northern Ireland\, Ireland and across Britain. Those interested will be able to follow developments and learn about each farm through the Irish Farmers Journal media platforms\, with coverage ramping up in the coming weeks. CAFRE and Dunbia events will also provide updates and longer term there will be an opportunity for farm visits.

SUMMARY:Royal Highland Show 2023
DESCRIPTION:One of Scotland’s most loved outdoor agricultural events \n\n\nThe annual Royal Highland Show celebrates the best in farming\, food and rural industry across Scotland. For four days in June\, it offers fun for all ages including opportunities to get up close to farmyard animals\, sample delicious and often locally produced food and drink\, and experience rural living as never before. \nPut on by the Royal Highland and Agricultural Society of Scotland and launched in 1822\, the show initially moved around visiting different towns and regions of the country. In 1960\, it settled in Edinburgh with the Royal Highland Centre in Ingliston becoming a permanent home. 2022 marked the 200th anniversary for the Royal Highland Show and the return to a normal event after a two year hiatus because of Covid. \nAt each event day attendees can expect to see the finest livestock\, witness incredible feats of skill and bravery in the forestry arena\, feel the heat of the hot coals at the farrier displays\, enjoy countryside pursuits\, view spectacular show jumping\, learn about rural crafts and inspect the vast lots of farm machinery across the showground as well as enjoying a line-up of live music and entertainment to captivate the whole family. In addition\, shoppers are always spoiled for choice with a huge selection of country wares on offer\, ranging from pet accessories and jewellery to art and garden furniture. \nIn 2019\, the Royal Highland Show attracted nearly 200\,000 people and boasted more than 5\,000 animals – including 2\,128 sheep\, 2\,200 horses and 1\,101 beef and dairy cattle – competing for over 280 trophies and £170\,000 in prize money. \nDue to the coronavirus pandemic\, the Royal Highland Show was cancelled in 2020 and 2021\, with a focus instead on bringing together the most-loved parts of the live show to take place behind closed doors at the showground and be live-streamed around the world. \nThe next Royal Highland Show will be between the dates of June 22nd to June 25th 2023. \nSee what’s on at The Royal Highland Show!\nThe show has something for everyone\, from competitions to shopping\, live music and tasty food and drinks – It’s the one place you can meet\, touch\, smell\, taste and take home the best in the country. \nBUY YOUR TICKETS NOW\nIn 2023\, we are completely digital!\nWe’ve moved our tickets completely online… no more paper tickets\, no more buying tickets on the door. \nAll tickets bought for the Royal Highland Show 2023 must be bought online and through our official ticket provider SEE tickets. Please bring with you your digital ticket to be scanned on entry to the showground. \nNO tickets will be available on the door so please plan ahead of time and purchase the tickets for the day you wish to attend the show. \nUse postal code EH28 8NB for satellite navigation.
